Does anybody know what's going on? See: the CBOE volatility index. I feel like a lot of how the current situation came about has been explained to me. Or at least I've found explanations. But are these wild fluctuations in the stock market because nobody has any good idea about how bad it is, or is it just an indication that a lot of investment is done by people who don't have a clue what they're doing? (Or rather, that people who don't have a clue what they're doing are still investing.)
