So... I should probably update this more often. I've been pretty busy lately with work, so there hasn't been much interesting to say. When I wasn't working, it was one of a few things.
(A) Rock Band :: I've mostly been focusing on the drums, since it's closest to the actual instrument (thus more satisfying) and where I have the most area to improve. The wireless drum set is a bit upsetting, though, since it's going through batteries like nothing. Actually, they still have a lot of charge when the drums stop working. Maybe if I get batteries with a different drain pattern, it would help.
(B) Noby Noby Boy :: The game is just weird. It's alright, but I have a hard time getting into it. There isn't the right balance between the complexity of the gameplay and the distance of the goal. I think the best comparison is to The Kill Everyone Project. Noby Noby Boy has the same sort of massively cooperative goal that is extremely far away, but the gameplay -- despite being incredibly simple -- isn't simple enough to motivate continued contribution.
(C) Flower :: Flower is beautiful. And remarkably relaxing. That's really all there is to say. If you have a PS3 you really should buy it. Mostly because it's good, but partly because I actually met Jenova Chen (the designer of the game) in my apartment hunting after college, and may have been a bit inconsiderate. I feel kind of bad about that.
(D) The West Wing :: I've been running through the seasons on Netflix about as fast as I can. It actually kind of started because I was busy with work. I was using Studio 60 as background noise while I was hammering through some of the simpler aspects of my job, and was left craving more Sorkin. And I can only watch the one series and The American President so many times.
... And when I started writing this entry, all I meant to do was to mention that (against my better judgment) I've started participating in some intramural soccer and am anticipating I will be rather sore tomorrow. No balls cleared into my face though. Yet.
